Where is your favourite place to blog?
Sitting in a quiet, dark spot in a comfy chair with my feet up.
What is the bravest thing you've ever done?
Stood up to the neighbor lady whose daughter stole something from my daughter and then lied about it. I was enraged but spoke in an adult manner even though it was obvious these people were, I hate to say it, but white trash. My husband was a little embarrassed but I stood up for my kids. I realized at that moment how deep my maternal instincts ran. I would do anything to protect my children from others.
Tell us about the best meal you ever cooked.
Pizza on the grille. One summer, when our daughter was home for the summer from college, I think we made it almost twice a week for several weeks. It was great because to make it we didn't have to heat up the house to make it. We perfected barbeque chicken pizza. Fresh ingredients, crust made from scratch, and great with a glass of red wine.
Tell us about your favourite pet.
Well I love my dog Dot who is now 11 years old. She is an English Springer Spaniel, I held her like a baby when she was a puppy and she was the 3rd child I never had. She had a tumor in her lower jaw and had surgery to remove 1/3 of it. It has been 4 years since the surgery, she eats pretty sloppy but she has adapted quite well.
But as a child we had a dog Suzy, a Wired-Haired Terrier. She would run around with us in the yard and she was such a happy dog. Sadly, she had a terrible habit of chasing cars when she was outside. She did get hit by a car and broke her leg, ran around in the yard with a splint on her leg for months. But she ran out of the house when my dad left for work and he accidentally hit her with his truck in our long driveway. I was in shock for a long time. I loved Suzy. She represents my first loss I experience in my childhood.
Would you buy your dream house if the price was right BUT you also were told it was inhabited by ghosts?
