My Happy Place

My bag is beginning to get heavy, but I can see the cabin ahead. I thank God for my sturdy boots as I try not to slide on the wet rocks around the river. I sigh as I stretch my back. I look up to see the  late afternoon sun filtering it's way lazily through the forest canopy. In the light I can see birds flying from branch to branch, and small animals scurrying down tree trunks. The beauty around me is awe-inspiring. There were more shades of green that I thought existed. The leaves from last fall had softened to created a fertile ground where new life was springing forth. There is no other person around me. I am far from cell phone service and thouroughly happy. I make my way closer to the weathered cabin. To its right, a gorgeous view of the dipping sunset. To the left of it..... is a Microsoft Outlook icon....I have got to get less realistic backgrounds....
