   A New Project

You will need:

A frame ( my husband has large hands, so I bought an 11 x 14)

A pack of printed paper from a craft store or Walmart (I've seen varied prices on the paper. You can get 50 sheets in a pack for $5 at Walmart in the scrapbook craft area. All of the sheets are different, so one pack will do your entire family, plus. When you are finished with this project, the paper can be used to redo matted pictures. The paper looks like wrapping paper but it's thicker) You can use colored paper for solids.

a glue stick

Cut even strips from another sheet for the border. Do the long sides, first, then cut the top and bottom strips. Trace your husband, or child's hand and cut it out. Trace yours, or the second one out of contrasting paper. My husband's hand is red, mine is floral. Glue down with glue stick.

If you have babies, it may be easier to trace their feet.

My husband also has arthritis and you can see it in his handprint. I wanted HIS hand. Because of the print, I will always have those big, sweet hands.

If you want to get craftier, buy little quotes in the scrap booking department that you like. Print out your wedding picture for one corner and a picture of you, now, in the other.

I am going to visit my Mother soon, and will trace around her hand, because I want to make my sisters a print of our Mother's hands. I am going to add a picture when she was small and one of her now. She is 83.Our mother has loving hands and we will be able to look at the picture and never forget the tenderness of this woman.

It's an easy craft and a terrific gift. If you have young families, add all of them in one frame. This picture is from i.imgur.com
