Let The Sun Shine In!

Oh, rainy day.

It's one of THOSE days.

I feel as though the rain is not just outside but, following me around like a little lost puppy... with fleas!

Sometimes it's good to hear that everyone has "those" days.  Here's my storm... I mean story.

My Husband's trucks (yes both of them) are broke down, my truck needs front end work and is out of alignment, my oldest Daughter I believe has some sort of hay fever, our house will not sell, bills are never ending (as always), I didn't get my promotion at work, my Grandmother is battling cancer, my Husband works miserable hours and our basement decided to spring a leak this morning... oh happy day!

It is so easy to get caught up in your "big" problems and not be able to see past them.  The greater challenge is to accept your situation and do something about it.  Granted not all problems can be easily solved but, learning how to deal with them can be just as rewarding.  When I was a child there was a song that I used to sing and just reading the lyrics makes me want to "Let the Sun Shine In".

"Mommy told me something a little girl should know

It's all about the Devil and I've learned to hate him so

She says he causes trouble when you let him in the room

He will never ever leave you if your heart is filled with gloom

So, let the sun shine in, face it with a grin

Smilers never lose and frowners never win

So, let the sun shine in, face it with a grin

Open up your heart and let the sun shine in

When you are unhappy, the Devil wears a grin

But oh, he starts a-running when the light comes pouring in

I know he'll be unhappy 'cause I'll never wear a frown

Maybe if we keep on smiling he'll get tired of hangin' around

So, let the sun shine in, face it with a grin

Smilers never lose and frowners never win

So, let the sun shine in, face it with a grin

Open up your heart and let the sun shine in

If I forget to say my prayers the Devil jumps with glee

But he feels so awful, awful, when he sees me on my knees

So if you're full of trouble and you never seem to win

Just open up your heart and let the sun shine in

So, let the sun shine in, face it with a grin

Smilers never lose and frowners never win

So, let the sun shine in, face it with a grin

Open up your heart and let the sun shine in"

So what's your scoop?  Would you like 2 scoops of "Poor Me Puckering Pineapple" with tears sprinkled on top?  If so, that will cost you your happiness, joy and pride.  However, we have a sale on "Cheer Me Up Chocolate" today only for just 1 bad attitude.  That's right, just give us your bad attitude and we will give you one scoop of "Cheer Me Up Chocolate"!

I don't know about you but, I love sunshine and chocolate so I will leave the rain outside (and in my basement) and a smile on my face.  :)

Life is what you make it, enjoy it with me!
