We can certainly be very hard on ourselves at times, but we need to learn how to love ourselves and be more positive!
- Identify the things you're saying in your head. This may seem silly but it will be very helpful for you. So take the time to write down the exact negative thoughts you're saying to yourself. Are you calling yourself "unwanted" or "dumb", write it down
- Challenge your thoughts vs The Bible. Read the thoughts that you've written down and find out if the Bible supports your thought. For example, maybe you're thinking that God has left you...well John 14:18 says that He will never leave you...which shows that you're thought...isn't the truth.
Adopt the truth and get rid of the lie. Now that you know the truth, repeat it to yourself every time you're tempted to think the negative (and untrue) thought.
Avoid comparing yourself to other people. Comparing ourselves only makes us feel worse about ourselves. Instead focus on the blessings about you and your day.
Avoid negative people. Negative people only encourage us to think negatively not only about others or our day but ourselves.
