'The Secret' Star: Anyone Can Change Careers

Nobody said changing careers would be easy, and it definitely wasn’t for Lisa Nichols. But with the right attitude, she says, anybody can do it.

Before Nichols was featured in the personal empowerment bestseller The Secret and became an author and much sought-after motivational speaker, she was a single mom with no time, money or energy for a career makeover.

Yet somehow she pulled it off, as she explains in this installment of Kaplan University's Visionary Voices video series.

The key, Nichols counsels other career changers, is carving out time for your transformation, setting small but attainable goals and not getting discouraged. “Don’t check in with how difficult it is, but how sweet it gets to be,” she says.
