Through this experiment known as life, I've found that I'm at my best when I'm most uncomfortable. When I'm forced out of my safe zone into the unknown. We usually search for comfort, what puts us at ease and makes us feel safe. It's after we are forced from this area of familiarity that we change and try something new. The old saying, "If it's not broken, don't fix it", well I call BS on that one. There's always room for improvement. If not why the heck am I on this quest?
Take a moment and think about you and your inner circle. How often have you talked about eating better, working out, finding a better job, or saving money? My guess is you've talked about it more times than you've actually done it. Am I right? It's not until you lose your job, can't pay your bills, or receive a grim diagnosis that you find the sense of urgency. Ah, you were uncomfortable with that! Something forced you to change to survive. Wouldn't you rather be the one deciding to make a change? I'm a control freak so I like to manage my change as much as possible.
Now is the time to get "un-comfortable" with your you happiness, health, relationships, career and finances. Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.
This year, this month, this week, this day is your time to start living. Don't be a passenger in this life, be the driver!
How do you plan to step out of your comfort zone or how have you stepped out of your comfort zone?
