As president of my Toastmasters Club, I've learned that communication is key. And to be a good communicator you need consistency, clarity, and most importantly, a good dose of caffeine.
When I sit down in front of my computer to answer emails or post events on our Facebook page, I have my large cup of coffee right next to me with another one brewing in the kitchen. (Well, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but you get the point.)
Emailing and keeping up with events used to be a lengthy task.
Recently, my goal has been to do personal emails on Wednesday and Sunday evenings ONLY. For the most part, I've stuck to that time frame. It has saved me quite a bit of time! (And, I've noticed less need for coffee.)
I'm always looking for other ways to save time when it comes to emails and communicating information.
One of the most important time savers is Facebook's option to schedule posts in advance. Now, after sending out my bi-weekly (does that mean every other week or twice a week? I'm always confused) emails, I also take time to schedule upcoming events and announcements on my club's Facebook page so that I don't have to remember to do them at another time.
