Our time in Switzerland had come to an end...it was very sad to leave for sure. Jake and I had both had such an amazing time, and I think we had become a lot closer as the trip went on. Although, in Spain we were going to be all alone, just the two of us wandering the streets. I'm not going to lie, I was nervous. I had never been on this big of a trip with someone I was dating, and it really did feel like this would be a test for us.
This morning we woke up as the sun was rising over Spain! We were riding along the Mediterranean coastline, and it was amazing.
Jake and I did a quick change in the bathroom and are ready! We are dropping off our luggage at the rental office before check-in so we can explore the city a bit!
The first church sighting of our trip, the Santa Maria Del Mar Basillica in the Born-Ribera neighborhood. It was originally built in 1329, but was burned down to its original bones during the Spanish Civil War in 1936. It has since been restored, and is absolutely magnificent! It stands in a small street, in a small square, but looks so awkward there because it is so large.
