My BlogHer Amigas, it is with a very sad heart that I must leave you for a while. And, believe-you-me, the idea of no longer posting blogs, of no longer reading your blogs—or responding to comments—all which I do on a daily basis, often spending as much as 8-hours a day at my computer, will be a most difficult thing to do, and dare I say even traumatic for me.
I have been blogging alongside some of the best writers I’ve ever come to know, here on BlogHer. Sharing my thoughts with all of you has been a big part of my life these last seventeen months. Interacting through blogging, and usually in the course of strings of comments, has been tremendously and amazingly therapeutic.
But I have a couple of projects that have recently presented themselves, and are now claiming my time. And Blogging, however amazing it has been spending endless hours and days and weeks that have easily turned into months, must now sit on the back burner. I need to distance myself from blogging, at least for a while (perhaps turning into many months). If all goes well, if I am able to meet and finish my new obligations, I will come back in a heart’s beat.
So as I finish typing these final words to you, my dear friends, and hold the cursor over that little block that asks me to “SAVE”, finally posting this blog for all my friends on BlogHer to read and know of my departure, my hand, resting over the mouse, shakes, and tears run down my face. I am very saddened at leaving you.
Because of my most recent post, “Of Blogger Friends That Have Left an Imprint on Our Hearts”, I would not wish to now just disappear without a proper adieu.
Mis Amigas, my blogging compadres, I bid you adieu for now, but not farewell!
