Help?!?

I'm not your normal blogger. Honestly, I'm not. I've toyed with the idea of blogging for years now. I've thought about it, thought about if it would be worth it, and watched as other people did the blogging thing.

I've been writing since I was a kid. Short stories, letters, anything really that I could come up with. I've always loved writing, will always love writing and will probably go to my grave calling myself a writer. So naturally, the jump to a blogger should make sense, right?

I am my worst enemy, which is the truth. And, I'm sure other people say that about themselves truthfully too. I've competed in writing competitions, writing 50,000 words in a month, writing 23,000 words in a month. But, that's as far as they have gotten. I have gone back through and read them, maybe editing a few things, but never pushed for that next step. I can be tough on myself, but putting something out there that I poured blood, sweat and tears into for the world to read and comment on? To possibly be the subject of articles saying that I suck as a writer or that I had no business doing this? To be swept under the rug because no one really cared to read whatever it was that I wrote? That's a scary idea.

So, maybe blogging is the perfect step for me. Putting this out there, out into the world, whatever it may end up being, might be the right step for me.

But, I warn you. I don't know what it will end up being. I'm slightly ADD, so you never know what topics will be approached in a regular 30 minute conversation with me. Baseball season is getting ready to start up, so expect a proud member of Red Sox Nation to make an apperance every so often (I really am a member! Yes, a grown adult joined the Boston fan club...). Sherlock, one of my newest discovories and favorite shows right now, is on hiatus, so expect that to come out so often. Well, expect my love of things British- Doctor Who, Monty Python, Sherlock, those things- to show up. Expect the girl who grew up in  a household where Super Bowl Sunday is a holiday to show up once football season starts back up. Expect rants or raves about whatever books this proud bookworm stumbles across, or even just a small sentence.

Expect emotion, passion, or even just some insight into a crazy world. I love sports. I love books. I love movies. I love music. I love my family and friends. I love writing and growing as a writer. I love romance. I love the idea of finally stepping out of my comfort zone and trying something new....

And I love that maybe some of you will be around to see it happen....
