Hashtag... you know you are the youngest child when...

One of my to-do list items this spring was to sort through the 99 mini  VHS cassettes ** of home videos BEFORE sending them to Costco to convert to DVD!   I don't want to pay for a DVD with 70 minutes of our {first} child sleeping!  So, a few weekends ago we hauled out the VHS machine***, gathered the boys and sat down for a preview!  And, in the first random tape I pulled from the box this is what was on the tape:

*** Some of you have no idea what I am talking about- Google  "VHS."

I told suggested to my {first}  husband to fast forward - that it must be a few frames ahead. ..... Nope, then it transitioned to an episode of ...

AllMyChildren1

And, this is when  my youngest son realized his reality:  "Mom, you taped over my baby movies for an episode of some old game show!?"   Yep, life of the youngest child.  We did find a few VHS tapes that document our youngest son's vocabulary, but when viewing those precious memories  we often heard, "Hi sweetie- smile- wave to the camera..... oh crap the battery is on emp...." fade to black!  #youknowyouaretheyoungestwhen

Finally,  during this whole VHS fiasco it occurs to me that our transition from laptops to tablets means we don't have a dvd option on the side of our keypad!  Now what do I do?  Is there a VHS converter to cloud based storage option?
