Finding Social Traffic: Where to Share Your Blog

If you write a blog for your business, you already know you what a great tool it is to draw people in to your website. We recently reviewed the social traffic platforms we use for blog circulation and we want to share our thoughts with you…

Social Traffic Image

Images Work

Pinterest and Instagram generate a lot of social traffic because users find it easier to immerse themselves in a community experience that is 100% visual. Sharing a picture with your network is almost too easy and can go viral much faster than any blog could. Try making a few great infographics and find yourself gaining visibility on one these fast growing visual platforms.

Target Social Media Groups

Groups within LinkedIn, Google+, Facebook and other platforms give you great value because most people are there to network and therefore will share your content readily. You can target your content to these audiences that have vertical groups for every audience.

We get a good amount of traffic from these social media platforms. In B2B, aggregate business blog platforms like BizSugar or Smallbiztrends can enable you to reach your target market by using keywords that relate to the group you are sharing with.

Blogger Groups

If you can find a group somewhat unique to you, there is a higher chance of your blogs being read because the other members will have similar interests. BlogherBlogengageTumblr are always a good way to share your blog with your peers. They can also be your best advocates!

Social Share Platforms

These are the basic social platforms that are widely used and not always targeted quite like groups are. You probably know them all; Stumbleupon, Facebook, Digg, Twitter and countless others depending on your preferences. The benefit of course is a wider audience, the drawback, as I said, is a less targeted audience unless you join the groups within these platforms.

What About You?

Did we miss any good ones? We’d love to know if our readers have any other fruitful platforms…Share with us on FacebookTwitter or Google+.
