It is time once again to get your fitness routine on point. If you started a workout routine in the New Year it is time to change it up a bit. Find a new class you like, get a personal trainer, join a spring sports league. You will enjoy the new activity and may even meet a new cutie while doing so. If you put off starting an exercise routine, now is the perfect time to get going. The endorphins will lighten your spirit and you will look good for the upcoming bathing suit season.
Time to put the winter sweaters away and break out the shorts, wedges and light weight clothing. Also it is time to lighten your closet load. Go through your closet and throw out any items that you have not worn in over a year. Once you see what you have verses what you are missing it may inspire your next shopping trip. Spring for drinks with friends
Invite your friends or colleagues for a happy hour on the waterfront. Offer to pick up the first happy hour drink to get everyone excited for the casual mixer. Call ahead to find out when the busiest day for happy hour is and plan your excursion. Being by the water will lighten the mood and get everyone in the spirit of Spring.
Get out and enjoy the Spring
This is the perfect time to take walks, reflect on your life, what you are happy with and what you would like to change. Take action and create the life you want. If there is a job you have been coveting, go after it with integrity and enthusiasm. If there is someone you have wanted to speak to at the gym, at work, at a happy hour use this great weather as a conversation starter. “Isn’t this weather great, I may start a running/walking group if you want to join in.”
All in all, Spring is a time to start fresh. Get outdoors, see friends and make time for yourself. Pretty soon you will have that old Spring in your Step once again!
