Facial Boot Camp at Bliss W Atlanta-Midtown

My fresh face, post facial. (Yes, my facial virgins, you often experience a bit of redness after your treatment.)

A 75-minute facial that incorporates the latest microdermabrasion technology and posh products — with a side of brownie bites to snack on. This is the bliss that you’re in for when you try the new Blisslabs Active 99.0 Facial offered byBliss Spa at the W Atlanta-Midtown

When I arrived at the Midtown Bliss, I changed into my robe and slippers and headed for the snacks in the relaxation room. They had cheese, crackers, olives — and those brownie bites I love. The only downside is there was no glass of champagne like I typically get at the downtown location (this is due to different ownership).

Tameko, my esthetician, did an excellent job of explaining the process that was ahead of me (and checking in with me throughout the facial). I liken the process to a boot camp for your face. This facial involves the use of microdermabrasion and "toning" microcurrent technology, as well as a professional-strength peel, and the layering of several Bliss 99.0 formula products.

I'm going to be honest, folks. There is some tingling and stinging involved — things can get a bit intense. You don't sign up for this facial to relax — you sign up for it to get results. And I was pleased with the outcome. Post facial, my skin felt smoother and healthier.

Although my facial was complimentary, I would actually pay the $275 price tag for this 75- minute "fit." But, it's the kind of treatment I would probably only get once or twice a year.

Keep up with my FWABulous adventures on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram.
