There is something so very refreshing, tender, warm, exciting and spanking new about a baby when it enters into the world! Especially when the Lord has provided a safe place within the womb of a loving Mother for a baby to be nurtured and develop!
Birth is an everyday occurrence that has become common to so many! When you really think about the depth of birth; there is nothing at all common about it! Each child is incredibly different. Even when they are Monozygotic; identical twins from the same egg that splits! They are alike in many ways but yet, their personality is unique! Look at God! The process from conception to birth is a marvelous journey! It is a spectacular miracle!
If you look closely into the eyes of a newborn baby you can see firsthand, purity, innocence and light! They are not quite outwardly focused on the world yet! How interesting the first desired response is for them to cry! They are tiny little dependent people just waiting to be shaped and molded into the only one of its kind person they will become! They are simply a natural bundle of Love & Joy!
Birth is an amazing experience! God has designed the woman in such a way that she can carry a child! The child is insulated from the world and balled up in the comfy fetal position encased in a sac of water continuously growing from the moment of conception! From day one all the human chromosomes are present! The vitelino bag provides nutrients for the first 8 weeks or so. Then the umbilical cord provides nutrients from the mother’s body for the remainder of the pregnancy! The tiny baby floats within the mother spending a lot of time sleeping and growing! Usually when it is full term the normal gestation period is in about 40 weeks or nine months or sometimes sooner! During this time the Mother and baby begins to bond… Then unexpectedly the baby travels down the birth canal, labor starts and they push their way out with help from Mom! Or today in many cases are delivered by C section!
What a fascinating process! Birth & Life are something to be respected! The Word of God tells us: “that before I formed you in the womb I knew you!” Jeremiah 1. Babies are a Gift from GOD!
