A hard concept to grasp is the impermanence of the present moment or actually the impermanence of life's moments. If we only have the present moment and that is fleeting, so is our life. Nothing is permanent around us, it is always changing. We can't hold onto the present moment nor should we since that causes pain and stress in our lives. That is one of the reasons why change is so hard for us to accept to embrace, to walk through life with change by our side eludes most of us because we spend so much time resisting this truth. We label change good or bad. Change is neither it just is! Accepting change as inevitable makes life so freeing. By knowing that now, the present moment, is not permanent is powerful. You no longer have to worry, stress, or get upset about something that you don't like in your life. Realizing that now is not permanent means that you have no attachment or judgement about what shows up. You can't change or control life's moments just know that nothing is permanent. Looking at nature is the best way to see life's changing life cycle so simply on display. Each and everyday in nature everything changes. Look at a tree or plant for a week and see the subtle changes that take place effortlessly without any resistance. This is how life is, constantly changing.
By embracing life's impermanence you live life differently not focusing on all that is enviable, which is out of your control, instead using all your energy towards what you can control and change, you. Unleashing all the unlimited possibilities that surround you is so powerful, an enlightening beacon illuminating the beautiful path that is life. Now you can clearly see all the possibilities that await you now that you are no longer blinded by resisting life's present moments. Instead seeing past the present moment to that which is always there and is only there, you, your being, your essence which is all that is presently with you all thorough your life's journey. By making friends with the fleeting present moment, remembering life's impermanence, you release the happiness and joy that has been eclipsed by the pain caused by resisting the present.
Release your resistance to change to feel the power that resides within all of us that is obscured by fear. Fear of change prevents us from embracing change, using it's power to live free in the present moment. Living with the present moment, not resisting, is the beauty of life!
