 Winter Background, Christmas Background, Sled

Every Christmas, people tend to go nuts with their overall spending - it can probably be safely assumed that gifts constitute to a major part of the increase in spending. It has become a tradition to shower your loved ones with gifts without leaving anyone empty-handed. While exchanging gifts is highly positive and encouraged, people have a tendency to pay ridiculous sums of money (relative to their income) for items they wouldn’t buy normally, if they weren’t labeled as gifts. For example, you might not even consider buying a $200 headset for your kid normally, but you might want to buy it for him as a Christmas gift.

When it comes to dads, they're often stuck at the idea phase. This article was oriented to contain gift ideas for less than $50, but most of them can be bought for less with some research. Although only a few gift ideas are featured in this particular article, the main goal here is to encourage dads to research interesting gift ideas that fit their budget. After all, it’s not the price tag that will put a smile on your loved ones’ faces - it’s the idea and thoughtfulness of the gift.

There were two main criteria for the gift selection:

  1. Firstly, gifts must be available at stores that issue online coupons. If our goal is to save money while getting the most interesting gifts for our beloved girls, it makes zero sense not to filter out retailers that don’t have coupons, since we’re just missing out on a 100% opportunity to save. Luckily for us, sites like Retailmenot or Chameleonjohn make choosing the right shops easy.
  2. Secondly, the gift idea needs not to be extremely overused. We don’t necessarily want to go for extreme originality, but rather for a good mix of practicality and uniqueness. And, of course, a good price.

Knit Eye Mask

Momma’s gonna love this one for sure. Even if she hasn’t used an eye mask before, she’ll be convinced after her first blindfolded night. However, it’s not only for women - most anyone can benefit from putting on an eye mask during their sleep. These babies are extremely helpful in overcoming sleep deficiencies (trouble falling asleep/unrestful sleep), so if you know someone who’s having sleep problems, strongly consider gifting them an eye mask. A gift like that will show how considerate you are in regards to their personal problems and might actually prove to be very useful in their everyday lives. You can get one at Nordstrom for under $30.

Fake Bridal Ring

There’s never enough reminding your woman how much you love her. While she’ll probably figure out it’s not real, she probably won’t care after such a romantic gesture. In terms of practicality, this gift is utterly useless. However, when you consider all of the positive emotions an overly romantic gift like this would bring, it all makes total sense. Especially when you consider a ring like this one would cost you less than $20 at Overstock.

NOTE: You might want to get a little creative with your presentation here.

Epic Girl Dress

Girls love to dress up, and nothing will make your happier this holiday season than a cute little dress that will make her feel like a princess. Make sure you get the color that she really loves and (extra warning for dads!) don’t screw up the sizing! Your daughter probably won’t be at all happy if the dress won’t fit and you’re going to have to give it back. Apart from that, you can’t really go wrong with a dress (unless she’s really into boyish style). The best part is that you’ll be able to buy a dress like this for around $25 at Last Call with all of the Christmas discounts going on.

A Thong

A gift like that won’t work for every couple, that’s for sure. However, if you do feel like that’s something your better half could enjoy, consider gifting her a sexy g-string for Christmas. One of the worst case scenarios while watching someone unpack your gift is to not see a reaction at all. With a neutrally packaged thong as a Christmas gift, be ensured that you will get a reaction of some sort. Whether it will be a positive or a negative one depends purely on your assessment of the situation, but one thing is a 100% guarantee: this $25 buy will be an effective gift. If you’d like to purchase a thong for your woman, Neiman Marcus have a solid gift-oriented variety of those.
