The folks at Our Place Café even bring me my own side of bacon all cut up just the right size for me. Then a cute, young girl, named Emma, entertains us while we eat; she’s the granddaughter of the café owners. You can see how cute she is from the photo. Emma thinks I should go to PetSmart and get a zebra costume and booties. Thank you Emma and Grandparents for the Best Cottonwood Breakfast Ever!
After breakfast, Mama & I drive to the Cordes Station to pick up an antique tin with a red-headed, Coca-Cola lady on it. Then we drive to Prescott, over the 89A pass to Jerome. Check out this cool, old, mining town built on the cliff-side just 10 miles Southwest of Cottonwood.
In Jerome, Mama & I visit the rock lady, Peggy Hicks, whot wrote the best 1920s town story yet; it's called The Ghost of the Cuban Queen Bordello. "After experiencing a rather unsettling ghostly encounter at a crumbling 1920/s bordello in Jerome, Arizona, the author sets out on a quest and uncovers some deplorable secrests regarding the attractive, but devious madam that once resided there (from the cover of The Ghost of the Cuban Queen Bordello)."
