Infancy is intense. Not to brag, but we rocked the newborn stage. Well, Levi rocked it. He slept for four hours at a time for the first two months. He weighed less than 10 lbs and I could hold him so easily in my arms. Now, at nearly 4 months we are weighing in at about 16.5 lbs and 27 inches long. Unbelievable. While we are still rocking things, it is at a much more intense level.
There is nothing that any well-meaning friend can say or do to prepare a first time mom for how fast everything moves. No, “oh, get ready” from a stranger even comes close. But looking back on all of those comments helps me know I am not alone in feeling this way.
I wouldn’t change a thing. I love that Levi is teaching me to keep up with him. It reminds me that we should be that alert when waiting for Christ. He teaches me to live in each moment & let the small stuff go.
At almost 4 months Levi is all about grabbing and touching. We walk around the house and investigate everything.
There is so much more.. but these are things I don’t want to ever forget.
