21 Things You Can Do to Save Money Now

Have your New Year's resolutions failed you already? Some of mine have, but my renewed commitment to save my money for stuff I really want instead of stuff that's just there in front of me to grab in a store hasn't. I'm always looking around the Internet for more easy tips my grandmother would know by heart but always seem like aha moments to me.

Manuela at A Cultivated Nest has a list of 21 tips for saving money. I love this one, because it is all about more and not less, more mad skillz that is.

Learn a new money saving skill – how to change the oil in a car, canning, crochet, how to make bread, sewing, gardening, how to recover a lamp with a new shade, learn how to clip the dogs nails instead of going to the groomer ($14 at our Vet) for example.

I got a sewing machine for Christmas. I don't know how to use it yet, but homemade American Girl doll clothes and pillows are coming my way in 2013. What do you want to learn to do?
