Water Bottle Fish

Got a few empty water bottles laying around?  It’s time for a break from the heat with a fun summer craft!water bottle craft

To give our fish some color, we used tissue paper I collected from birthday presents.  We ripped some into long strip to give our fish stripes, and the rest into about 1″ pieces.  Even the youngest toddlers can have fun tearing up your tissue paper for you!

Then we painted our water bottles with Elmer’s glue and applied the tissue paper pieces.  Keep a wet paper towel handy for wiping off sticky fingers – otherwise you’ll have tissue paper sticky to you, too!
