Villa de Luxe Designer Show House 2013: Sneak Peek John Robinson Morning Room

This weekend was another great and successful weekend at the Villa de Luxe Designer Show House.

Today, I'm going to share with you friend and fellow designer John Robinson's space, Morning Room.  Robinson & Associates integrates a working knowledge of interior design and building construction with an equally important knowledge of furniture, backgrounds and equipment. Through Robinson & Associates' 30 years of industry experience, they have developed a sound technical and design base to help with any interiors project.

The concept for this Morning Room was to create a smart sophisticated place to start the day.  With the use of neutral colors, a soothing background was established for the contemporary art.  A contemporary feel was achieved by off-setting the table; this also opened the room to provide more comfortable seating for leisurely mornings and conversations.  The acrylic and glass table also opens the room allowing the fabric of the banquette to be the focal point.  The decorative dining chairs and antique mirror help provide an eclectic feel that complements the house.  The bank of orchids brings the outside in, creating a comforting oasis from our hectic lives.

The curved bank behind the banquette adorned with potted orchids add a touch of outdoor elegance.

Great blend of textures on the banquette and pops of red.

The red is carried into this simple yet elegant table setting.

In one of the corners of the room, a chest, with a little bar area for serving drinks.

This upcoming weekend is the last chance to see this stately home.  Please stop by and see all of the talented designers spaces and help support Preservation Houston.
