Pom Pom Wreaths

This wreath is very simple and in expensive to make, not to mention FUN!  You can make the wreath with or without the greenery behind it.  I happen to have found 5 small greenery wreaths at the local thrift store for  $1.00 each and couldn't pass them up!  You can also use just a small round wreath like this one:
I couldn't find one but I hear you might be able to find them at the Dollar Store.
Supplies you will need:
4" cardboard
This pic shows a hanger, I was going to shape the hanger to a circle but they pom poms did not stay in place when I tied them tot he hanger so a wreath is best!
I didn't use wool yarn because I thought it was too thick, but did use a thicker yarn than the regular yarn that is thin like string.  I think it works best and makes the pom poms more fluffy.  You can get yarn at any craft store but I get mine at either Joann's or Michael's because they always have coupons on their website for 40% off any one item, so I never leave home without my coupon in hand!!
Cut a piece of cardboard 4" long.  You will wrap your yarn around the cardboard about 30 times if it's thick yarn.
Slide the yarn off the cardboard.  Cut a longer string and place the yarn on top of the string in the center of the yarn and tie in a not so it looks like this:
Cut the loops so it looks like this.  You will have to trim the strings to make it "even" all the way around.  The easiest way is to lay the pom pom flat so you can see all the strings that are uneven.  Cut them so it forms a nice circle.  Leave the long string long because that is what you will use to tie the pom pom to the wreath.
Tie the pom poms to the wreath and add a pretty bow.
