Today I planned on making one of those adorable burlap bubble wreaths I’ve seen all over Pinterest. Every tutorial I looked at said the project would take me 15 minutes, tops, so I ran a bunch of errands today, and did some cleaning after dinner. Once I was finished with all of those tasks, I gathered my supplies and prepared to whip together my wreath.
Step one was to loop the end of the roll of burlap through the openings of the wreath form. Easy peasy. From here you’re supposed to weave the burlap in and out of the openings, forming loops. I began weaving, but I wasn’t getting the desired result, to say the least. After about ten minutes of staring at my pile of burlap, my husband decided to give it a shot, and he was able to get the loops right. He showed me how to do it, and when I tried to give it another go, I failed miserably. Again.
At this point I’m chalking it up to my tendency to overcomplicate simple tasks, and will try again tomorrow.
