Putting a May Day basket on a neighbor’s doors is a fun way to ring in spring. Traditionally, children would hang the baskets, ring the door bell and run!

I have done May Day Baskets with tissue paper flowers and I have done them with cut flowers. This year, I planted pansies in a flat backed container and attached a hand-made pansy ribbon flower. I chose pansies because they mean…you occupy my thoughts.

May Day is May 1st, so put together a small basket of flowers for your neighbors. Share some good wishes…some planted wishes!
