In the last couple of weeks I have started a couple of knitting projects, but have not gotten very far. I have a pair of socks and an afghan sitting on the needles. I think I will frog the afghan. I'm not sure about the marigold socks.
Tonight I started a hat. I downloaded the free pattern from Ravelry. The pattern is "The Rikke Hat" by Sarah Young. The pattern instructions call for a "German Twist Cast-On". I had to search on YouTube for instructions on that method. I used the Knit Witch's instructions found here.
It took me quite a while to get the hang of the cast on. I love that there are instructional videos for this stuff. It's more effective for me to watch an instructional video rather than trying to figure out a diagram or still photos.
I recorded my project in my Ravlery library. I hope to finish it by tomorrow.
As I began to knit around and around I soon became soothed by the repititive motion.
I miss my knitting. It has been a steady companion and has helped me through some very hard times.

Club met at Jule L's. We had a lovely time. Her sister-in-law Marie came in. Belleville club met at night. Won first prize. Pair surtan pearl necklace. [I couldn't find any information on what type of pearl necklace Anna wrote about.]
