When I think of Hollywood Regency decor, I immediately think of Marilyn Monroe. When decorating in this style a room should be feminine, glamorous, and a little unpredictable. Your home should be your stage and the decor should complement you, not the other way around. With this in mind, your should expect to include lots of lighting to enhance your beauty, lucite furniture to keeps all eyes on you, and plenty of mirrors to check your lipstick in.
I'm definitely more inclined to include a few glam pieces into my space- I can't commit to a single style in one room. I'll gladly include some lucite, mirrored side tables, tufted chairs, a brass bar cart, fabric headboard, and plenty of chandeliers though!
How do you feel about the Hollywood Regency vibe?
P.S. I would do terrible things for this Jonathan Adler chair:
