Crocheting With Joy

Although I am excited to try new patterns, to adjust and modify and create my own designs, at the same time, I am aware that literally millions of women have gone before me, creating, crocheting and knitting. There is a sense that I am plugging into a long line, a historical, generational lineage of women who have always worked with their hands. in fact, I still marvel at what can be created with string and a steel hook.

Some of my latest projects easy, inexpensive gifts for Easter and birthdays.

This shrug is simply a rectangle, crocheted with double yarn, white and grey and a size 9 hook, folded in half, with the sides sewn, leaving 7 inches for arm holes.

 Large, double yarn infinity scarve.

Market bags crocheted with cotten thread.
