I've been sick for the last few days and have not been able to add any miles to my running journal this week. I NEVER ever thought I would regret or actually miss not being able to get out and get active. After taking this week off I'm feeling frumpy and out of shape. Now I know that in just one week that's not a rational thought, but it does give me motivation to want to get back out as soon as I feel up to it.
Another reason I'm ready to hit the road again is because of the super cool running leggings my hubby bought us as a Christmas gift. As to protect the public innocence, I'm not going to show you an actual picture of us wearing them, but you can find your own pair of compression leggings on the Nike website.
Just let me say that when Clark and I modeled our new leggings for Shelby, searing screams and words like vomit and disturbing were a few examples of what she yelled.
I think it was traumatic.
I may need to call a therapist.
Note to self...stop teaching my children to be so honest...
Not only do I feel super cool and professional while wearing them, but they make my legs feel all cozy and warm and help with the circulation, too. I highly recommend them!
Another way that also keeps me motivated is reading different websites and personal blogs. A couple of sites that I read often is running.about.com and active.com. Each are jam packed with information especially for the beginner like me.
That's it for today! If you are running more, especially in the cooler weather, I do hope you consider purchasing your own pair of running leggings. I promise I won't scream or use any form of the word vomit, but I don't recommend you wearing them in front of Shelby.
