I'm drinking tea. And more tea. And even more tea. I'm also eating pretzels by the handful and conveniently not noticing how many. That means I can't enter them into MyFitnessPal. I also had a bowl of cereal this morning as a research study. This is what I told myself it was - all in the interest of science. I wanted to determine if I would still be hungry and wanting more after a bowl of cereal. My kids eat cereal. They always want more. I regard cereal breakfasts as fluffy and have never found the appeal of them. But yogurt and coconut milk and raisins and cinnamon on the rice krispies (my kids do like their breakfast's doctored up - doctored in a different way each day) does smell kinda good.
So I tried a bowl. And I think it was tasty, but really I just didn't pay attention and I don't even know how I felt after I ate it. Obviously not the best thought out research study since I didn't even have moments of reflection built in. However, to be true to the study, I did not add my daily flax seed to the cereal because I knew that would change things. That meant that after I ate the bowl of cereal, I still had to have my bowl of plain yogurt with flax seed and, because I am sick, I had to doctor mine up with honey and cinnamon.
Now a teaspoon of honey not such a big deal, but I'm pretty sure our honey bear (which is shaped more like a honeycomb than a bear) was almost full a couple days ago. Now it's on the edge of being completely empty. THAT is a lot of honey we've been consuming.
I do think the hot water with cinnamon and honey is fairly pleasant and my coughing seems a bit less after I have it. Once again, this is not a very good study either. However, I'll stick with it. And my vitamin d pills and my multi-vitamin and maybe some good 'ol pho for lunch. And, of course, some more tea.
