The one thing that consistently undermines your attempt to control your weight is: feeling overwhelmed.
When we are overwhelmed, we go into ‘crisis-mode.’ Rather than sticking to our plan to eat well and exercise, we eat convenient, unhealthy food and we skip exercising. When we are overwhelmed, we tend to think that we don’t have the ‘luxury’ of caring for our own health.
Feeling overwhelmed comes from 2 sources:
- Putting others’ needs in front of your own.
- Letting chaos overtake your daily life.
If you want to be successful at losing weight and maintaining a healthy weight, you MUST make yourself a priority and you MUST become organized so that you reduce the amount of chaos in your life.
