And as far back as I can remember, I always had a natural tendency of procrastinate.

In 1978, 5% of Americans called themselves chronic procrastinators, as opposed to 26% today. Procrastination can not only affect your work, but it can make you feel ashamed, inadequate, guilty, stressed and even depressed.
Even though those feelings can be very unpleasant, we still succumb to procrastination and most of us have a very hard time quitting. Some psychologists say that it is done out of habit and others say that it is a behavioral trait or a symptom of a psychological disorder.
Well, whether it is habitual, psychological or physiological, this comfort zone is exceedingly difficult to leave. It seems that, by procrastinating, we are in fact avoiding pain. But it is possible to achieve and as they say, the first step to solving it is admitting that you have a problem.
In this technological era where everything is at our fingertips, procrastination seems to be easier and easier to give into every day. And all the online distractions only make matters worse. The feeling of satisfaction can be intense at first, but in the long run, the stress will overcome everything else.
