Not so handicap accessible

It's almost been an entire year since I broke my leg in such a grandiose way. Looking back over this past year, i can honestly tell you that many/most places that are so-called "handicap accessible" are full of excrement.

When I was in a wheelchair/walker/crutches it was like trying to enact a change in congress in order to get around smoothly. Parking spaces that are painted blue, that might perhaps be near the front entrance, quite often leave you with so little space that someone sporting a huge cast can't exit their vehicle easily. Or they forget to provide a ramp, and then you're having to rewrite the laws of phsyics to get you up the curb in the middle of an ice storm.

Doors that are supposed to give you plenty of free space to enter in a wheelchair, are quite often an inche or two too narrow. Don't even get me started on bathrooms. Are those bars supposed to be helpful Mr. Target bathroom designer? Because from where I'm sitting, they are waay to high.

Anyway, this is just my tirade as I saw another person going through some my previous issues. I can honestly say, I feel their pain.
