Hypothyroidism and Hair Loss and Damage
It was 2 years ago my journey to being diagnosed with hypothyroidism started. My hair was not only falling out in clumps but it was dry, brittle and damaged beyond repairing. I sadly took the plunge at the hairdresser and got unwanted layers. She had to admit herself that it was my only choice to try and continue with long hair.
It happened so suddenly. This was the scariest part.
I have decided to share my pictures of before and now to show the major difference.
There is really nothing I can do but be healthy and wait for it to grow back in.
I am happy to report that since I have been on meds for a hypo thyroid that my hair is growing back in as you can see the layer of fuzz in this picture! Click to enlarge. This gives me hope that in a few years it will thicken back up!
