Despite our best efforts to keep on track with our New Year's resolutions, it can be quite hard - especially when the temperatures are bitter, the skies are constantly gray, and you are snowed in by a historic blizzard.
Naturally, we turn to food for comfort. It feels like we are giving ourselves a big hug.
This winter however, I have made a consious effort to stock up on fresh fruits and veggies, salad packs, nuts and dehydrated fruits. So when the urge to snack hits, I only have natural and healthy foods to pick on. I eliminated the temptation to snack on unhealthy foods by eliminating them from my shopping list.
This salad is simple to make . The vibrant colors and citrus flavors will wash away any winter blues weighing you down, leaving you satisfied, happier and healthier.
