Recently I went to see my gynecologist with some concerns about my breasts. She ordered a blood test, which revealed that my estrogen levels were higher than the normal range.

I’m in my 40s so my estrogen levels should be in decline. And I’ve been diligent in managing stress and avoiding xenoestrogens – the common causes of estrogen dominance.

So what could have caused my high estrogen levels? Is it normal to have estrogen dominance during perimenopause?
