Do you ever feel that it’s hard to make new friends as an adult? Sometimes it seems that everyone’s lives are too busy to slow down and make a new friend.
The best way to meet new girl friends is to take exercise classes at your gym. Your gym is a virtual hot bed of health-minded, energetic, happy women. Taking exercise classes accomplishes two things at once: you’re exercising AND you’re being social.
Maybe you read the first line of this post and thought:
Trust me, I understand.
The idea of taking a ‘Zumba’ class makes me nauseous. And, quite frankly, I’d rather be fat and lonely than take something called ‘Cardio Funk.’ Kidding aside, you need to figure out which classes would make you feel comfortable.
Personally, I love ‘Spinning’ classes because they’re held in darkened rooms where each participant can adjust the tension of their bike to their level of comfort. ‘Body Pump’ or ‘TRX’ (tension resistance band) are also classes that I enjoy because they do not require coordination or rhythm (I possess neither).
Over the years, I’ve made some great friends and acquaintances at my gym. If you’re looking to expand your network of girl friends, I highly recommend trying a new exercise class.
