Are you a woman on the go? No time for fitness in your jam-packed schedule? Then check out these 5 ways stay fit while busy!
1. Be active every chance you get
Does your job have stairs you can take instead of riding the elevator? Can you get up and talk a walk for lunch? Maybe you want to start wearing a pedometer and measuring your steps. Whatever gets you up and moving during the workday and away from your computer!
2. Don’t skip breakfast
I know you’ve heard it a million times, but having breakfast gets your metabolism rolling and gives you more energy to get through the day. It’ll also curb your appetite at lunch so you’re not opting for more filling foods, like pastas or hamburgers, and can feel good about that salad!
3. Buy the right foods
The best way not to give in to temptation is to avoid it altogether. Don’t bring a pack of double stuffed Oreos into your house if you know it’s gonna end with you scarfing them all down on a Tuesday at midnight. Make sure your fridge is stocked with plenty of fruits, vegetables, and meats–stick to the outskirts of the grocery store aisles if possible. And make sure you load up on healthy snacks like almonds or wheat thins to help you fight workday cravings.
4. Switch out your recreational activities
Instead of going to the movies, try going for a hike instead. Or going to a local gallery night or museum tour with appetizers and drinks instead of a full sit down dinner. 5. Have Quick Meal Solutions
The only way you’re going to even think about eating healthy at the end of a long day is if it’s easy. You can’t be as fast as Wendy’s, but there are several 5 ingredient recipes you can master to have a decent healthy dinner in 15 minutes or less. Some of my go-to’s are baked chicken breast with a side of roasted asparagus, or steamed fish with diced red potatoes. Both of these are dishes you can pop into the oven without having to supervise while you do other things. Because you’re busy!
