This savory zucchini bacon quiche is baked in a crispy pie crust. Loaded with Gruyere cheese, this quiche is sure to impress!
I’m sure you all still have a billion zucchini to use up from your gardens. And you are probably getting burnt out on zucchini bread. I know some of you have made four to five loaves and popped them in the freezer for later enjoyment.
You have zucchini bread coming out your ears and are clueless what to do with the rest of the zucchini.
No fear, I am here to share with you an outstanding quiche recipe that will utilize those lingering zucchini. One super cheesy, savory, zucchini, bacon party baked in a flaky pie crust. The best quiche I’ve ever had.
Quiche is a timeless brunch meal of a savory egg custard in a flakey crust. It can be served warm, straight from the oven or allowed to cool. And the best part is you can flavor it with leftovers like ham, bacon or veggies.
For this quiche I used eggs, heavy cream, Gruyere cheese, shredded zucchini, crispy bacon crumbles, and green onions. This quiche is extra cheesy.
I should mention how delicious Gruyere cheese is. It is seriously so damn good; I could just take bites of the cheese block and be a happy camper.
