Superbowl Fun to Keep You Entertained Until It's Time to Watch the Game

There's no sense writing anything new about food the morning of Superbowl Sunday. By now, everyone has planned their Superbowl menu and they're either preparing the eats or hanging around munching and waiting until it's time to watch the game (or the Superbowl Ads if they're like my brother, who records the game and fast-forwards through the football.) And if you're getting just a wee bit bored waiting for the game to start, it's the perfect time to take a look at these Superbowl-related posts that are just silly enough to be fun.

Let's start with a replica of a football stadium made entirely of snack foods, built by the folks at Holy Taco. I have no idea why someone would create something like this and post it on the internet, but I guarantee, you've never seen anything like it.

Kathy at Panini Happy is staying neutral in the game-day festivities, featuring a Pittsburgh Style Cheese Steak Panini one day, followed by Arizona Grilled Navajo Tacos the next.

Not all food bloggers are neutral though. At Accidental Hedonist, it's clear who Kate is cheering for, as she features a Primanti Bros. Sandwich, a Roethlis Burger, Pierogis, and a Hot Italian Sandwich to show her Pittsburgh roots.

Although it was posted a few years ago, I bet Pittsburgh Fans would still love to see The Ultimate Steeler's Tailgating Menu at Lenndevours.

Vittles Vamp reports that the local newspapers of both teams are featuring recipes for wings, causing them to predict a shortage of the tasty morsels come game day. (Do you have your wings already if they're on the menu at your house?)

Of course, you've got to have Superbowl Cupcakes if your blog is called Cupcakes Take the Cake.

Finally, at Endless Simmer, they're having a Pittsburgh vs. Arizona Superbowl Food Off. Once they've shown you the best sandwich, pizza, hot dog, and beer representing each team, you're invited to vote for which team has the best food.

Kalyn Denny shares her passion for low-glycemic cooking at Kalyn's Kitchen and today she's making Superbowl Chili for a party where she definitely won't be watching the game.
