I celebrated fried dough on my blog in the month of August. For the finale, I made a savory steak and cheese version. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, filled with shaved steak and oozing with American cheese, it is delightfully sinful.
If you have never made fried dough and avoid yeast at all cost, don’t be scared. It’s really not that hard. I let the stand mixer do almost all of the work. The result is so worth it. Give it a try!
