Slow Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

1 1/2 T onion powder
1 T minced garlic
1/2 T chili powder
crushed tortilla chips or bagged tortilla strips
You can put the first 7 items into the slow cooker directly but I like putting the 2 cans of Rotel in the blender with some of the chicken broth to puree and make a smoother soup. Cook on low 7-8 hours. Remove chicken breasts and shred with two forks on a cutting board then return to pot. Ladle soup into bowls and top with cheese and tortilla strips.
