Thanksgiving can be a tumultuous time at the dinner table, because it seems well-nigh impossible to please everyone. But, hey, we can try. This modern menu should intrigue passionate foodies without alienating the staunch traditionalists. There will be mashed potatoes, but they’ll be made with browned butter and bacon. The pumpkin pie will have a bruléed top, and the sweet potato casserole will be swapped for candied wedges (never fear, melted marshmallows are still on top). Let's start with the turkey …
