Joanie's What's On The Stove #2

A very yummy and inexpensive meal tonight.  Beef, Beans and Barley Stew (for lack of better description) and homemade Cornbread. 

After soaking my dried beans overnight I put them in my crockpot for the day.  After about 6 hours (enough time to get my car detailed, get a manicure and pedicure and stop at #Target and #TraderJoes), I browned ground beef in my stockpot (new #MarthaStewart pot I got for Christmas from my brother and sister-in-law), added a small can of tomato sauce and then threw the beans in.  Once it came to a boil I added the barley and let it sit on the stove simmering while I made the cornbread.

Super easy dinner for 4 complete with leftovers for lunch tomorrow!
