I just wanted to say to all of you, my Blogher family, that I wish you a very Happy Easter!
This day, is always such a special day. It's the day when we celebrate the rising of God's Son, Our Savior, Jesus Christ. After three days, he rises again. With all power in his hands.
You know, Good Friday always holds many special feelings. The first of course, being the Greatest sacrifice made by God and his Son. God sacrificing his son and Jesus, sacrificing his life for us. For our sins and for us to have the right to the tree of life.
But, on that day many years ago, My Mother received her calling from the Lord to Preach. It was definitely a special time in my Mother's life and in the lives and household of my family. Such a special anniversary. And on Friday, Mom and I went to my Aunt's church for their annual "The Last Seven Words of Jesus Christ".
It's always a great program. How it happens is, Seven Preachers are invited to the program to speak. Each one is given a word to speak on and they have a certain number of minutes to deliver a sermon on that word. Mom has done it and many of the local Preachers and Pastors have done it.
It was a great program and we really enjoyed it. I was supposed to go out of town and run an errand for Mom. But, of course, seeing as how it was Good Friday, the chances that they would've been open, wer slim. And I didn't want to travel that far and then, they might not have been open. So, I just decided to stay here and celebrate Mom's anniversary with her.
Now, I am making our Easter dinner. And I am really happy to be making an Easter Ham. Barbequed. And I will be sharing the recipe on that, soon. In the meantime, I just wanted to tell you, Happy Easter. This Easter, is the first of many that I'll be spending with BlogHer. And I am truly excited! Have a great day everyone and always remember the True Reason for the Season. Don't just thank him today for his sacrifice, but everyday. Because, he didn't have to do it, but her did. And we all should try our best to live up to our best. We will never be worthy of his major sacrifice, but let us always remember it and never take it for granted.
God Bless and Happy Easter Day!
