GRILLED SAUSAGE DOGS WITH GRILLED PEPPERS & ONIONS
This weekend was Memorial Day weekend so naturally we fired up the grill and since our oldest was visiting from school we grilled his favorite. Sausage dogs with peppers & onions. There were hamburgers too which I don’t know why because it seems no one ate those. Note to self, next time just make Sausage Dogs. Here is the recipe.
12 Sausage Dogs (You can use sweet, spicy, mild whatever you like)
4 Yellow Peppers
4 Orange Peppers
4 Red Peppers
6 Yellow Onions
1 1/2 cups beef broth
Salt & Pepper
3 Tablespoons Butter
Preheat your grill to 350 degrees or if using charcoal get the charcoal started and the grill nice and hot.
Slice up the peppers and onions and throw them in a tin pan. Add in the beef broth, salt and pepper and garlic powder to your liking and a few dashes of Worcestershire. Mix it all together and top with the 3 tablespoons of butter and cover with tin foil.
Place the pan of peppers and onions on the grill as well as your sausage and cook to your liking.
No fuss and easy clean up. That’s my kind of barbecue.
