I love adding cream cheese to everything. It's so yummy. I also love chocolate chip cookies.
So how about adding cream cheese to.... chocolate chip cookies?
Cream Cheese Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 cup softened (but not melted) butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
6 oz. softened cream cheese
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 12oz. bag semi sweet chocolate chips
1. Cream together the butter, sugar, vanilla and cream cheese.
2. Add salt, soda, and then the flour at half cup increments.
3. Stir in the chocolate chips.
Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
The batter will be really sticky because of the cream cheese. I just used a spoonful and carefully scraped it off with a finger. Instead of spraying the cookie sheet with oil, I used parchment paper. I also found that if these cook any second longer than ten minutes, THEY WILL BURN on the bottom!
This is the first time I have made chocolate chip cookies without eggs. This is also the first time my husband has enjoyed LOVED a chocolate chip cookie!
Let me know if you love these cookies as much as Erin! :)
