Broiled Grapefruit

Several years ago, my husband and I were staying at a Bed & Breakfast that offered this dish with our morning coffee. I was instantly hooked! Never a huge fan of the tart grapefruit, this recipe helps balance its flavor and makes a sophisticated breakfast in just minutes.

Broiled Grapefruit

Ingredients:
1 lg pink grapefruit
1tsp Grade B maple syrup
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Preheat oven to low broil. Slice grapefruit in half and remove any visible seeds. Place in oven safe dish, skin side down. Drizzle with maple syrup and cinnamon. Place in oven on low broil for 6-7 minutes. Enjoy!

Optional: Looking for a little more of a good thing? Add granola, hemp seeds & walnuts to the top when removing your grapefruit from the oven. Yum!
