"Blogging is Good for You"!  Really?  "Yes,it's an outlet for stress and you can share so many amazing creations with everyone!"  Well, I finally decided to give it a try despite my persistent doubt.

I want to begin with a little bit of background info.  For 20 years, I have been a mental health professional, a therapist.  If you are a therapist, you are a listener that hears all things bad.  People do not seek theapy when all is going well.  I have listened to disclosure of horrific happenings, unbelieveable acts of abuse, betrayal, physical and emotional abuse and pain, acts of opposition and defiance, ritual abuse, illegal offenses, rape, incest, addiction, mental illness and the list goes on and on.  This type of prolonged exposure to "all things bad" affects the emotional and physical health of the clinician.  If you are a clinician and you are reading this, find something that makes your heart smile, and make the time for yourself to do it.  I truly did not realize how "burned out" my heart and soul was until my recent leave of absence.  We moved to another state a few years ago.  Due to a few health issues and accidents, I have not reopened a clinical practice.  I have however, been making my heart happy by finding outlets that I thoroughly enjoy.  It has been this process of discovery of things I enjoy that has led to healing and renewal.  Being the wife of a pastor is also thrown into the mix of all of the above.  I named my work Cake Therapy meaning Cake for you and Therapy for me!  Thus, the Cake Therapist has arrived!

Not all things are cake!  As of late, I have been dipping everything into chocolate.  White chocolate, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, colored chocolate etc....there are no boundaries when it comes to chocolate.  There is a lot to learn to get it to cooperate and mold properly though.  I still have so much to learn.  I have been rolling and dipping cake pops for three years now.  Once I figure out how to add photos to the body of my post, I will do that.  I would love to share a few of my original designs.  I have made zillions of cake pops in all sorts of shapes and sizes as well as gluten free, casien free and vegan!  All requests CAN be translated into a cake pop!  I have made tons of cookies and cupcakes for celebrations and events.  My latest creations involve Oreos and chocolate!  I am hoping to offer my Oreo creations for Father's Day!   Join me on this journey if you wish.  You are invited!
